Option two: Open the list to other fandoms besides those out of
Japan. That's always been the hole in this whole affair. We're the
FanFiction Mailing List, but we're restricted to  Anime, Manga and
Japanese Live Action. God knows I'd like to get some crit on some
Marvel, DC, and WB Animation ideas, not to mention Harry Potter.
Knowing I can't post those here and get serious feedback kinda takes
the wind out of the sails, you know?

Seconded.  As some people may know (especially those who follow my LJ), 
I'm not really writing much anime fic anymore.

I've started a BtVS segment of my God's Toy SI series, written another 
BtVS one-shot, and am working on another work.

I ran the BtVS/AtS Girls Rebooted ficathon (that went nowhere, but...

I ran the collection on the somewhat infamous 'Things Xander Harris is No 
Longer Allowed to Do.'

I've considered a Harry Potter work, too, and am toying with some City of 
Heroes fiction.


I mean, I'm still working on Drunkard's Walk 4 with Bob Schroeck, but 
really, my writing focus is not anime anymore.  But I can't post them 
here, and have turned to my LJ and my friends there as the means to get 
concrit that I can't get here.

I think we should grow.  Open it up to all fandoms, all fanfiction.
