Tea shops with overly induldgent deserts and crepe places also fall into
 the "girly"

   I don't remember any male anime characters eating ice cream crepes from
ice cream trucks/stands either.
 I HAVE seen both sexes eating shaved ice....
      and roasted sweet potatoes but they are usually the preference of
"tomboy" types, quirky ladylike types and monks.

A parfait is a layered frozen dessert served in a glass. Usually you have a
layer of some kind of fruit, then a layer of ice cream, then a layer of
nuts, then another layer of fruit, ice cream, repeat until glass is full,
top as desired. In fancy dessert shops--and especially in fancy Japanese
dessert shops--parfaits tend to get really, really elaborate and frilly and
girly.
