I'm taking a bit of a risk here.
EVERY DAMN TIME I've posted a message on the FFML, I've started a smegging
flamewar. Usually, I'm content to just read the fics and be a bigger
"lurker" than, well, Lurker.
With that warning out of the way. . .
YAY!!!! Richard's writing again!!! No matter that it's just a one-page
spamfic, it's pretty much the first output we've seen from him since Y2K.
Why is this such a big deal? Richard's homepage, http://www.sterman.org/
has been practically content-free for YEARS. (For gods' sake, UPDATE YOUR
PAGE, man!)
But for some of the BEST fics to hit this list, just set the Wayback Machine
to:
http://web.archive.org/web/20001202222300/http://www.sterman.org/
This is the LAST version of his page before it went down. Why it did, only
Mr. Lawson knows. But other than his "Bitter End" crossover fic (removed at
Zen's request), his "One-Pound Gospel" finale, and his 2003 "Thy Outward
Part" chapter, IT'S ALL THERE.
Please keep in mind, the Internet Archive is run off nth-hand computers, and
so could have data failures at any time. (HINT, Richard, HINT!)
Welcome back, Richard!

my webpage)

More lurker than Lurker (I've got the WORST luck at Web writing)
And for god's sake, NO FLAMES!!

"Attention on the bridge."
Everyone stopped and looked around. Admiral Adama seldom requested their
attention like this; he preferred to let people do their jobs. It was
Colonel Tigh who get in their face, yell at them for mistakes, and grunt
appreciation if things went well. Adama would simply issue his orders and
then fade into the background, awaiting developments.
"You have all known the difficulties we've faced," Adama said in his usual,
understated but still commanding voice. "And through them all we've had
one
abiding goal: to find Earth."
Adama raised his chin. "Well, I am happy to report that one of our crew
has
found certain knowledge of Earth's location. His extensive search amidst
our records, combined with the star charts we got from Kobol, allows us to
plot the exact position of Earth. Our next jump will be the jump to
Earth."
The bridge crew erupted with cheering. At long last, an escape from the
Cylons, and perhaps new allies to find in their long-lost brethren. At
long
last, a new place to call home after the abysmal failure of New Caprica.
Adama waited for the cheering to subside, then nodded to the young officer.
"Are you ready?"
The officer straightened to attention. "Yes sir!"
"Then plot the course for Earth, Lieutenant Hibiki..."
