Thanks... I feel dumber for having read that link on contraception.

The Japanese are notorious for NOT using condoms.  Not even just guys saying
"it doesn't feel good" but surprisingly you have many girls that either say
nothing when a guy doesn't use one or complain when he does!  "What?  Do you
think I'm dirty?" "It makes it so impersonal to have a condom between us."
"Today is a safe day, so it's ok.."

I'd say Japanese only have less sex when measuring married couples.  Young,
single people?  Especially today?  You gotta be kidding me.  It's like the
60's... free love.

The pill... that link was off too.  There is a strong cultural taboo against
the pill... some of it dating back to the early forms of the pill that were
stronger and had greater side effects.  At least in Tokyo there are some
good oby/gyn... particularly female ones... that are more than happy to
prescribe the pill. The pill not being covered by health insurance is a
non-issue.  It's only 5,000 yen for something like a 3 or 4 months supply.
The governments "argument" about condoms and the pill is utter bullshit.
Those same old men pushed and had Viagra approved for Japan in record
time... I don't remember the number but it was like 6 months or less.
