Yep - Oniwabandana is, in reality, a tabloid journalist named Nana Asahina. 
Which I assume means she is secretly a pacifist water-using shugenja who 
works with the Crane Clan. Her name is a pun, combining the word "Oniwaban" 
(a ninja who works as a castle guard) wirth "bandana" (since she wears one). 
In the dub, her name was "Ninjana", which was not much better. She appeared 
working for Kunzite in Epidode 43, and has the honour of being the last 
youma he ever called on before he was killed in Episode 44.

I do *lots* of research. ^_^

If Mysterious Resurrection Person can reverse that,
that's more than a little disturbing...  and bad news for the Seven
Great Youma.

No, Oniwabandana is actually something that will bother Usagi even more - a 
"self-made" youma. She got turned back to normal, all right... it's just 
that after a while she decided she didn't actually *want* to be normal. I'll 
get into it more later, but after some time to think about it, Nana decided 
that she preferred being a youma to being a person. She actively hunted the 
DK down and begged them to change her back.

Which should give Usagi conniptions when she finds out.  ^_^

Oh yes.  Since this is my first comment on the story (been meaning to
start C&Cing, but keep forgetting to), I should mention that I'm
enjoying it a lot, even more than I remember enjoying the original way
back when I first started reading fanfiction.

Great to hear it! It's always good to know that people are reading and 
enjoying my fic. Hopefully I will have another chapter for you all really 
soon.

 I remember being a little
displeased with how Jadeite was portrayed in the original, but I haven't
got any complaints on that front in this version.

Thanks - Jadeite was one of the areas I wanted to improve this time out. 
I've learned a lot from writing this story, and unfortunately that meant 
that some of my earlier chapters and stories were a bit lacking in 
comparison to how I would do them now. It's one of the multiple reasons I 
decided on a complete re-write.

Incidentally, while I'm not certain, the original Ronin Summer (along
with Sailor Moon Z) may have one of the fanfics that inspired me to
start writing Shades of Gray, my first major fanfic.  So I should
probably offer a  belated thanks for that inspiration, just in case.  :)
