Nothing "Mary Sue" about it, but as an alternate universe story it 
can resolve situations that Takahashi-sensei tends to leave open and 
hanging.  At the cost of some silliness.

"On a Clear Day..." can be a little disorienting in you haven't read 
the previous stories, but (ironically) it's easier to pick up than 
most of the previous stories because they follow one after another, 
while Clear Day takes place in such an alternate Sailor-verse that 
it's functionally stand-alone.

Besides, while you're waiting for new chapters (and waiting, and 
waiting, ;) ) you can go back and read the other stories.

That's kind of harsh. Personally I found it to be one
of the 4 best anime fanfiction stories I've ever read.
McKinnon truly has a talent for weaving an intriguing
tale. He's even managed to make me enjoy a story
starring the Sailor Senshi, which is a big feat in
itself. ;)

I'd recommend giving it a chance and try it out. The
story grows on you after a while.
