I'd still worry about that teacher...what kind of self defense is she 
teaching?

He means "ordnance."  It's like "materiel..." a word that should not 
exist...

leaders of the planet Scru'Dryfa.  Contact Diplomat Osaka comes
to a stop in front of several of the strange amorphous beings.

      "Greetings!  We come in peace!"

      The middle alien waves a tentacle and answers, "Greetings
as well.  I am Tul'Bar, the president."

      "Wow!  Do you ever wonder why a hammer is called a tool?
I mean, a tool is something you use to make things, but a hammer
can be used to break things..."

% Not really. A hammer is neccesary to build many things the same way 
drills and such are.
 

"Drills?"  You've been away from the magical, mystical world of Star 
Trek too long...  The Federation long ago lost any concept of "tool."  
To them, if it's not voice-activated it's not a tool...   They've gone 
one better than Capsulecorps in that they've got boxes that just, poof, 
make anything...now that's a "tool."
