	At least in Word MX, you go into the "tools" pulldown, click the
"autocorrect options" listing, and then look over the options under
"autoformat" and "autoformat as you type". Smart quotes and other annoyances
are found there as checkbox options. Haven't used the older versions of Word
for a while now, but there should be similar menu choices, I'd hope.
