This will be my last dive into the Ranma world for a while. If I get some
positive feedback on it, I'll write more, and if not, then I'll move on.
Well, I really liked it and would like to know what other odd couples
will result from this. How about Genma and Cologne?

A xover with three titles I really like, let's see...
All Tenchi Muyo characters belong to Hitoshi Ugako (I do
believe that's right)
Nah, that would be Kajishima Masaki and of course AIC. Hitoshi-san was a
cocreator though.
Note: This story takes place at the end of Ranma 1/2 and around book
seven of Love Hina, before Keitaro, Naru and Mutsumi tried their Tokyo
U exams for the second time. Those dates don't match up at all, but
that's how I want it.

Also, I haven't read much of the Tenchi manga, so
I'll be using a lot of anime references for them. (Besides, none of the
manga has Kiyone in them. Why is that?)
That's complicated. OK, the original Tenchi Muyo storyline is the
"Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-Ohki" OVAs with Kajishima's True Tenchi novels as
prequel. All other material, the multiple tv series, manga series,
novels, movies and spinoffs are not part of this continuity at all with
the sole execption of the new "Galaxy Police" tv series.
Kiyone the police woman was created from OVA coworker Hasegawa in her
own novel series out of spite because of fights in the OVA producing
team. Kiyone later found her way into a few other non canon Tenchi works
like the tv series, but doesn't exist at all in the original story. The
name Kiyone was reserved for Tenchi's mother and is used as such in the
later OVAs.
In the original storyline Mihoshi has had some other partner, see
"Galaxy Police" or the later OVA episodes for more info about that.
To make a long story short: It's the best solution to use only material
from the OVAs, True Tenchi novels and/or "Galaxy Police" and ignore
everything else, so there will be no problems with the huge bunch of
contradicting plots.
Well, since you have Kiyone in your story stick to the Tenchi TV (Universe)
storyline, which means Washuu is not Ryoukos mother, Sasami is not
merged with the goddess Tsunami, Tenchi has no lighthawk wings...
Now on to the story. BTW, prose is definitely better than script. ^_-
Ryoga: So what are these housemates of yours like?
Tenchi: (Grins sheepishly) Well uh, actually...they're all kind
of...aliens.
I think it's very unrealistic for Tenchi to tell somebody he just met
that the shrine is "infested" with aliens. ^_-
It'd be a lot more believable if they try to keep it a secret. Ryoga can
find it out by sensing unusual auras or seeing them fight or (quite
ironic) being Washuus guinea pig...
PHG: A cabbit, little boy, is a crossbreed between a rabbit and a cat,
created by yours truly, the great and brilliant Washu! Hahahahahah!
She didn't, not in the tv storyline you are using. Here the cabbits are
just another if unusual alien life form. You should change this tidbit.
Washu: This is amazing! Involuntary shape-shifting! Ryoga, hurry up
and change back to human so I can start running tests.

Mihoshi: Now, if you turned into some kind of huge, ugly cow monster
with wings or octopus tentacles or something, then you'd be a freak.
