Please use quotation marks with speech. It becomes much easier to
follow the story.

Actually he does use quotation marks. The problem is that they appear
to be so called fancy quotation marks that are not in the normal 7-bit
plain-ASCII character set. That would not be so bad if he had correctly
noted what charcter set he was using in the header. Since the header
information is wrong the quoataion marks are only displayed correctly
for those who have the same charcter set he uses set as their default.

"Akane-chan, you know what I've told you about trying to set me up.
Your
father was the one exception and I still needed quite a bit of drink to
make it." Ranma sighed, 'get drunk once in almost two-thousand years
and
look what it gets me.' Glancing down at her daughter she thought, 'but
if I had it to do over I would do it again.' After only nine years the
little girl had changed her outlook more than the previous thousand.
She
had been on the verge of suicidal depression when she had come to that
small fishing village a decade ago. Even her own formidable will had
eroded under so long alone. She had gotten truly trashed at the towns
spring festival and for once had not decked the man that had started to
come on to her.

"I've" not "Ive"

Similar to a preceding comment, proper use of quotation marks,
punctuation, and correct sentence form is preferable. Assume this
criticism applies for the entire chapter.

Same as with the quotation marks. It is likely there in his original and
appear in his copy from the ffml but for everyone who uses a different
setup it has gone missing.

Just how old is Ranma? Has she lived through the entire Age of Legends
as well as however long in the past is the modern 20th century? IIRC,
the novels take place considerably more than two thousand years after
the Breaking of the World. Much of the chronology was lost during the
Trolloc Wars.

Most timelines I have seen say that the breaking happend three and a half
thousand years before the time of the books. Assuming that it will end soon
and that the Age of Legends was about the same length then it has been
seven thousand years since the end of the first age. And despite what has
been hinted about the first age ending with the lances of flames of the giants
Mosk and Merk we can not be sure that the first age ended soon after the
time Ranma was born. There are some mentionings of things that are said
to have come from before the Age of Legends that don't exist yet.

Ranma might be as old as ten-thosand years and if he keeps things up the
way he has he might eventually make a full circuit on the wheel of time.

Personally I don't like the immortality idea used here very much. The WoT
setting has several perfectly good ways of importing charcters from other
ages and worlds build into it. Heroes could be reborn and even travelers
from a paralel or alternate world might appear in Rand's world with the
help of items already described in the books.

It is a bit hard to belive that after so many millenia Ranma would still be
recognizable as the person he once was.
