Xander's New Father



    Nighttime across town a young 7 year old boy was running for his life. 
He heard a strange noise and decided to run faster. He turned around and 
yelled as he saw a vampire. The vampire advanced on him and knocked him to 
the ground.


    "I shall drain you completely." snarled the vampire.

    The boy yelled for help. The vampire was about to pierce his neck with 
it's fangs when a voice called out "Hold it you... whatever you are. I will 
not let you harm that boy. Let him go."


    The vampire looked up to see a middle-aged Asian man.

    "What do you think you can do against me little human." asked the 
vampire in a laughing tone.


    "How about this." said the middle-aged man hitting the vampire with his 
fist.

    "Arrrggghhh!" screamed the vampire in pain as it's fangs fell out. "You 
shall die for that!"

    "Yeah right. I've heard that before. It'll take more than a baka demon 
to stop me." said the middle-aged man.


    "BAKA!" screamed the vampire. "How dare you call me stupid!"

    "So you know what baka means." said the middle-aged man. "You're still 
stupid."


    "DIE MORTAL!" yelled the vampire.

    "Chew on this!" yelled the middle-aged man holding his hands close 
together. A blueish light began to build between them. "MOUKA TAKABISHA!" 
yelled the middle-aged man throwing a brilliant blast of energy at the 
vampire.


    The vampire never had a chance to dodge and it crumpled to dust as it 
was hit by the energy blast.

    "Well that takes care of that baka type demon." said the middle-aged 
man. He then turned to the boy. "Are you alright kid?" asked the middle-aged 
man.


    The boy threw himself onto him and cried hysterically.

    The middle-aged man did what he could to calm him down.


    "Perhaps we should take you to your home." said the middle-aged man. 
"What's your name?" he asked the boy.

    "My name is Xander Harris" said the boy. "Who are you?" he asked.


    "My name is Ryoga Hibiki." said the middle-aged man. "We really should 
get you home."

    The boy looked a him, and broke down in tears, and cried out "They went 
into the house... and... m... m... my p... p... parents... ... ... ..."

    Ryoga grew cold at hearing that and thought 'Damn it all to hell! If 
only I had gotten here sooner! I might have helped to save them!'

    Ryoga heard more demons coming, alot of them, and decided to grab the 
kid and run for it.

    He did just that and proceeded to run in a random direction.

    Hours later he arrived at the Tendo Dojo.

    Xander Harris would not see Sunnydale again for many years when he was 
much older.
