She could almost hear the sweatdrop forming on the other end of the
line. "Perhaps this time WAS a mistake...."
"No, no! I was just kidding! You know me, Mary Sue, the funniest
comedian in the universe!"

Maybe it highlights her annoying ways more, but the two instances of
universe so close together read abit awkwardly.

"Does that mean you plan to vote Democrat in the upcoming election?"
asked the male voice on the other end of the line.

As a side note, apparently there's a linguistic conflict going on
about this, where Republicans tend to use 'Democrat' as an adjective
for their rival political party, whereas Democrats tend to use
'Democratic' as an adjective for themselves. (And this is a conscious
decision on the part of the political parties' members, as one term
has more positive connotations than the other). So if I'm interpreting
the call correctly, this should perhaps be 'Democratic'.

Mary Sue shrugged. "I don't have to eat, because I'm perfect in
every way. I don't go to the bathroom either, because that's yucky."

But surely she's an expert french cook?

When she'd stopped moving, Toboe dropped her lifeless body on the
floor and stared at the once-beautiful face that had been torn to shreds
by his sharp teeth. "Oops. I forgot about that."

Heh. (It doesn't actually work if you think about it; even if he's
really a wolf she just thinks looks human, as one website suggests is
the case for WR, a face wouldn't get that mauled without some
conscious biting on his part. But, in the grad scheme of things, a
quibble).

I laughed. Amusing.
