Y'know, you've got a point.  The only normal Earth-type vehicle I can think
of offhand in all of Takahashi's work is the limo that "abducted" Ataru in
the very beginning of Urusei Yatsura.  I don't consider Mendo's private army
and air force "normal."  Fighter jets to deliver diapers and formula?  Yeah,
*right.*

Nothing else -- at least from Earth -- in all the rest of that series.
Nothing in Ranma 1/2.  Can't think that I saw any such in Inu-Yasha, and I'm
not very familiar with her other works, so I couldn't say if there are any
there.

I'll be the first to agree that spaceships, hoverbikes, and roof-hopping are
far better than sitting in a six-lane parking lot in the middle of rush
hour, but it *does* seem to be a very curious bias on her part.
