Interesting character in Mr. Sangnoir, there. A little rough around
the edges for AMG, but I'm sure he'll settle in. 

A few points on the storyline:

Keiichi and Megumi's father and mother insist upon being referred to
as Keima and Takano. They're very strict about not using titles. This
came as a big surprise to manga readers, as all the hints pointed to
conservative parents, and Keima and Takano are anything but. 

Keima and Takano are yet another example of a mangaka discarding
previously established details in favor of a new nifty idea or concept,
considering that they *were* referred to as mom and dad way back when
Megumi was introduced, and not AFAIR ever referred to since. Considering
the attitudes involved in the chapters where they show up, finally,
there is very little reason for Keichi's terror of them finding out
about him and Belldandy.

(Rule number one for writing serials: Retconning is bad. Once a detail
is published, there's no going back on it. You can edit a novel or movie
for internal continuity, but you can only edit unpublished chapters of a
serial. Rule number two: Never mention a detail about something until
you've figured them all out, and are ready to show the lot. Takahashi is
an expert at these two - none of the eight recurring characters I
remember being introduced after volume one of Ranma contradicted any
previously given information.)

The roughing up of Skuld scene seemed abrupt to me. On the second
reading Doug didn't come across as a complete jerk like he did the
first time I read it, but it still felt like it came out of nowhere. 

He has not, at that point, figured out that Skuld really *is* a little
girl, and that her emotional immaturity is not by choice. He thinks of
her as an adult goddess hiding in the shape of a kid to get away with
pushing people around, not as a kid goddess pushing people around
because she doesn't know better. I think.

Other than that, it was an enjoyable read. I'll be looking forward to
seeing more of this character.

I'll admit to the egregious sin of never having read Drunkard's Walk
I-IV, and when I last read Oh My Brother, chapter ten was fairly fresh.
Still, I found it interesting as a sequel to the latter - I'll have to
dig up the earlier parts of DW later. (That, and the Labors, and a few
other things...)
