Well, other than her very specific powers, Yomiko seems to be a fairly 
ordinary person, so one would assume that in her lifetime, she's had 
doctor's visits, dentist appointments, and haircuts (though probably not 
as many of that last one). Um... I forget, does the series take place in 
Japan or Great Britain? o.o;; Because, I mean, her name's Yomiko, but 
she works for the British Library... er, anyway...
But one would assume that in all such offices, all over the world, are a 
great number of (expired) magazines. Yomiko, being Yomiko, would 
probably not leave the waiting room until she had read all of them. It 
would probably be entirely canon to writing her as being at least 
somewhat knowledgable of most pop culture and current events, assuming 
she goes in for a yearly checkup.
