I'll just respond to one of these. Yes, I know F451 is about
book burning. However, it's written as a scathing rebuttal
of the practice. The book burners are written in such a
profoundly negative manner that only an idiot would think
it anything but a condemnation. People who love books
love this book. People who hate books hate this book because
they feel it's mocking them, and it is.

The trouble may lie (if I may spoil Fahrenheit 451) in the fact that the
bookburners mostly win -- and that those who have escaped the society,
those who are preserving books, are doing so without paper. Even though
some information, some poetry, some history, was being saved, _books_, as
physical objects made of paper and bindings, no longer exist.

And that, to Yomiko's mind, and to her love of the physicality of books,
may be the worst horror of all, a redeeming ending that mocks what she
cares most deeply about.

So she does like most people who read - turn off all the
lights except for the lamp by the comfy chair, curl
up in the comfy chair, and pull out your favorite horror
novel. Usually Stephen King or Dean Koontz or Lovecraft
for most folks. Fahrenheit 451 for her. It'd be one of those
guilty pleasures. She wouldn't loathe the book at all.
