Wouldn't it be Writer's Block that we fear? Insomnia
helps keep us going, and going, and going...

The two of them could only watch as Mihoshi sleepran
towards disaster. It was one of those runs where,
being off-balance, Mihoshi could not easily stop if
she were awake and wanted to, yet somehow she seemed
to be picking up speed. At the end of the hall, right
in her path, lay Ryoko, heavily sedated from too much
sake. Both observers knew the havoc she might wreak
were she to be awakened by a boot to her abdomen.
Slowly, the foot came down, as if decelerated by a
universe holding its breath in anticipation of
disaster...
...and sank right through Ryoko, who was currently
hovering one centimeter into the floorboards,
blissfully unable to be nudged into consciousness.
As Mihoshi finally stopped against the wall just
beyond Ryoko, Ryo-ohki noted, "Hey! Your Mihoshi's in
my Ryoko!"
"Your Ryoko's on my Mihoshi," Kiyone countered. "And
since when do you speak?"

(And yes, that's "on". A second "in" would've
required a lemon. ;P )

Well, now, that's really not fair to Fujikins,
unless there's something
we don't know about the father.
It's Fujiko's child, and she'll be raising it. What
more do you need to know?
Man, it's good to have friends.
Especially friends who are
real sharpies, and have one's best interests at
heart.
Okay, maybe only out of enlightened
self-interest, but hey, you take
what you can get in this world, right?
That's the trick: make your best interest their
self-interest.
It worked well up to this point, but the sudden shift
after this to "guess the crossover" mode kind of
hampered the rest of the fic, in my opinion. (And
the name thing, but that's been mentioned, and was
minor by comparison.)
