Sure. Anything, even only a good word or two, is always nice for morale.

Yeah, but in the case of the Elders, it's not so much a whim as a necessary
obsession. Without their various obsessions, they would literally lose the
will to live and die.

(Now, an omnipotent being that just jumps in and starts blowing things

up--that

I can respect.)

Champion was sort of like that. His obsession was physical strength. He went
around pummeling things. He and Runner (who was obssessed with speed) were
the two simplest of the Elders. Ones like the Contemplator and Collector
tended to be more sophisticated.

 And that's why I'm glad that guy got beaten in the end.

Well, he did end up helping the good guys in the recent JLA/Avengers cross.
So he's not all bad.

did a good job with Yukari coming in and defeating him with sheer

incompetence

with a very simple game.

Hey, it's Yukari. How else was she going to win? :)
