Normally, I wouldn't make such a comment about this, but... I think it's
needed.

One of the two most common "complaints" about this, is "Too much time spent
on setup"

Umm... folks, professonal authors spend 1/3rd of the book/triolgy on setup,
as a general rule, at least in my expereince in reading (other authors more,
or less{Side note, the ones who do less, sell less, too...})
Gaijin is planning between 32-40 chapters. So, he's well within the curve,
kay?
Part of the problem, I'll admit, is we're getting these chatpers over time,
not all at once. Other part, is in a way, a _lot_ of the "novelist" style
fanfic writers _are_ not writing, or have moved on. So, the concept of a
novel sized fanfic work is a "What?" thing, now.
The Story _IS_ plotted, the general thrust and plot and events worked out.
Also: a _LOT_ of the fanfic authors have the luxury of _not_ having to do
setup, becasue the setup's been DONE for them.

On the other complaint, I'm not goig to touch it, simply becasue at this
point _I_ don't care.
