Mark won't see this, of course; he killfiled me over irreconcilable
differences. But maybe someone can pass it on to him?

The only sure way to avoid speculation, accusations, and
counter-accusations over ongoing events is not to post any of the fic
until it's all finished.

If your readers really love you, they'll wait.

(Still waiting on Hearts of Ice. Still waiting on On A Clear Day You Can
See Forever. Still waiting on Eric Hallstrom and Kenko. Not the bad kind
of stalker-on-the-doorstep calling-in-the-night waiting, just the
patient, anxious kind.)

When you post chapters this long, which have a beginning, middle, and
end in their own right, my own experience casts the chapter as a
complete work in some sense - one with headers and trailers leading to
the other ones in the series, true, but weighted down with its own
concerns. It does not view the entire story-to-this-point and the
story-yet-to-be as some huge unbroken arc that I cannot feel anything
about yet because it hasn't stopped. It _has_ stopped, for the time being.

This is my psyche. Yours, of course, may vary, but I doubt that everyone
reading this sees only an incomplete big picture, as opposed to an
incomplete hall of little pictures.

(Also, though Mark knows this already and you don't have to forward it,
I believe the crossover should really be marked Ranma/Sailor
Moon/Reality, and it's the many snarly bits in that third series that
have ruined the whole pile for me.)
