Okay, let's break this down into its component molecules.

The D&D short: Eh. It was kinda funny, but...I really couldn't go with it.
It doesn't really seem like a feasible situation for the Azu girls.

On the whole, though, I didn't really care for this. The mark of good
Azumanga fanfiction is that it feels at least somewhat true to the source
material--to the manga, to the anime...

This...didn't.
