AAAGH! You just killed Kakashi! You bastard! If the Sasuske fans 
weren't going to murdelyse you before for ditching Sakura they will 
now, and with the Kakashi fans for backup. The girl from the ramen 
stand will be devastated, too. (though that may just be a manga ref, 
and not have made it into the anime - right after the Wave country 
mission, when the kids try to see Kakashi's face and Ino gets in the 
way)

So Sakura just got mysticvally added to te Uchiha clan, eh? Does this 
mean she's somehow going to acquire the sharingan ability, as Kakashi 
did? (Orochimaru notes that Kakashi has 'gained' that ability when 
they face off over Sasuke while the elimination round of the canon 
chuunin tournement, implying that he wasn't able to do it the last 
time Orochimaru saw him - though I always figured it was more along 
the lines of having a replacement eye implanted by a healer-nin after 
whatever attack gave him the big scar on that side of his face took 
out the original - a replacement that happened to come from an 
Uchiha, perhaps because he was wounded meeting Itatchi on his way out 
of town after the massacre) (My parentetical comments shall CONQUER 
THE WORLD!!) Given that Sasuske expressly intends to kill his 
brother, and may half-expect not to survive long after himself (at 
least before he used the technique and flipped out), it might have 
been intended as a way to ensure that the Uchiha line still continues.

I never reealised that the thing on the back of Sasuke's jacket was a 
fan - I'd have thought it was a radish, but couldn't figure out why 
he'd be weaing a picture of a radish.

Whoa... I just realised... the purpose of Itachi and now Sasuke is to 
flip out and kill people ALL THE TIME! Sasuke just chopped Kakashi's 
head off, and didn't even care!! NOW THAT'S WHAT I CALL *REAL* 
*ULTIMATE* *POWER*!!!!! (If you don't get it, google on "real 
ultimate power")

RE my other mail, I didn't mean Sakura could try to match Inner 
Sakura in that amount of time, just improve a small amount following 
the groundwork already laid - it doesn't take a big difference to be 
all the advantage you need, sometimes, espescially when your main 
focus is prescision and planning as hers seems to be - the only times 
she goes fullbore on is when she's backed to a wall, literally or 
metaphorically, such as with the fights against the sound nins in the 
Forest of Death or against Ina-ino-inu-whateverhernamkeis-theblonde 
where they finished with a double-knockout.

Naruto is showing some unexpected savvy in pulling out the wolves 
immediately - he really is showing signs of growth, which is good.

Dark at the end there, but still good. Metafictionally collecting 
Kakashi's ghost here for use in a Ranma/Tenchi/other 
martial-type-character-gets-a-new-mentor archetype fic might be 
useful, though Naruto style combat is more lethal than most of the 
commonly used destination anime - maybe Airmaster, Real Bout High 
School, or Narutaru - shows where there's some humor, but without 
knowing who was the main character you'd have some real risk of 
serious injury or death in the fights. Steel Angel Kurumi could work, 
too, though it would be better to disrupt the season two A-ko ripoff 
lack-of-plot than S1's tight, 19 episode story arc.
