Although the vague background details *imply* a CT with, if nothing
else, a not-very-tight grip on the world (ref the Kiwis' illegal
military force). So if it *is* fascist, it ain't absolute. (:)
Plus, the way the 4200 CT population swings into action to defend their
city doesn't *feel* like a downtrodden, opressed populace, or one that
has descended into lotus-eating mode and expects their Goddesses to save
them. Granted, I'm reading a lot into a little, but they don't seem to
act like characters from "Brave New World" or "1984."
