I should point out that in Buffy canon, a vampire is formed when a demon takes
over the dead person's body.  It may think it's the person, but it isn't.

For Ranma to shout "NOOOOOO!!" as if he hates the idea of being a vampire and
having his friends killed would just not make sense given what Buffy vampires
are.

The power level is also pretty far off.  Ryouga can smash rocks, even without
the Breaking Point technique.  Buffyverse vampires are weak enough that they
can be taken out by ordinary humans in hand to hand combat.
