Yes, actually. But then I've navigated by maps for over four decades, so
the reaction to pull one out is an almost unconscious reaction by now.

I'll concede there.  I learned Tokyo by motorcycle and for obvious reasons
you can't use a map except to initially plan your route... so you can see
where I'm coming from...
