So "Azabu City" is like saying "District City"...it doesn't make
sense.
Regardless of the difference in meaning, you are right... Azabu City is
totally incorrect. Azabu-Juuban is a district within Shibuya Ward, Tokyo
Metropolian.
You get full points on the Azabu kanji meaning - linen/flax cloth being
the
literal translation (once I was able to locate the proper radical index
values).
... but you *really* should have consulted a map, as Azabu-Juuban is about
as smack-dab in the middle of Minato-ku as you can get. :)
I've already addressed the real-life existence of Azabu City Hotel in
another post. However, here's a few links for the Google-impaired:
Don't need google. I was just out drinking with some friends at Damon's
under Hard Rock Cafe, Roppongi Hills and A bar isn't it in Roppongi. For
some reason I was under the impression it was in Shibuya-ku as when you come
by car/bike/taxi from Shibuya it seems like it still is... noticed on my
23-ku map that it changes ku at the light just after the tunnel on Roppongi
Dori... And would you *really* consult a map about the city you live in if
someone asked a simple question?
