Hi, Jane here.

Just so it's out there--my usual motivation for writing real C&C or beta-ing
fics is:  I'm addicted to their story-line.  LOL.  I figure with C&C they'll
be more motivated to write more chapters (and the by-product also is that
their work will have more polish in most cases, which is also good.  I take
pride in my work.)  And, in the case of beta-reading--I get to read it
before anyone else ^_^ and...  I enjoy it.  It's fun making friends.  I'm
sure there are others on the list that fit into these categories.  If there
aren't, maybe my reasoning might inspire some.  LOL.  Nah, maybe not.

Granted, my area's of somewhat expertise (actually, more like interest) is
narrow for this list--I usually go for YYH, Inuyasha, and... (if anyone
would ever write one *nudge-nudge*) 3X3 Eyes.  Oh, yes, and "Please Save My
Earth".  How often do any of those hit the FFML....??  Not as much as I'd
like, that's for sure.  But I keep watching and waiting, still hopeful...
Yes I'm familiar with Ranma, Kenshin, & Sailor Moon but there are people on
this list who could run circles around me with "facts" and...  Those fandoms
just don't personally interest me quite as much unless the author is
paticularly good or creative.  If I don't find a hook in the begining to
draw me in, I skip it.  If the fic does manage to hold my attention all the
way through, I'll write the author C&C or at least send one or two lines
about how much I enjoyed it.

Do I expect this post to gain me recognition or inspire others to C&C my
fics--no.  People that live for that need to grow up, no matter what their
biological age is.  Yes I have an opinion that defers somewhat from what
I've read, but basically I've just babbled.  I don't feel like putting on
heirs.  If anything, my motivation comes from being aggrivated by the fact
that, while there are many intelligent people on this list--some have
tendancy to forget about the fun factor.  That's all this is, recreation.
It's play time, so don't take it so seriously.  (And no, that's not directed
at anyone in particular, I think I've just let that feeling build up a
while.)  OK.  Feel free to delete this message now that you've read it,
scratched your head, and said, "Gee, that was a waste of time."  ^_~
