Yes, but this is Tomo uttering this French, and as she has no clue what
she's saying, what difference if she mangles it en route?  In fact, I think
it might be more in character to do so.

Just a thought.  Thanks again for the lovely story; Azumanga is sorely in
need of more fanfiction, isn't it?
