"How dare you!" exclaimed a rather simian looking man dressed in a
homespun parody of a SS uniform who was hefting a grungy and poorly
cared for AK47 as if it gave him the power of god himself.  Two more
men armed with other poorly maintained firearms, in similar but less
elaborate "uniforms" rushed to their leader's side.

I'd think that if anything is kept clean around that town it'd be the
guns.

I never said dirty, just poorly maintained. Its been a long time since the
war, so the gun is very old, and I doubt they have may parts to maintain
them with. Not many people would trade weapons parts with an bunch of
neo-nazis, and those that would are more likely to trade with people who'd
produce more profit then a backwater village.

Vash used him thumb to push the break open lever on the pistol.

No bullets.

"Ah, shit..." muttered Vash.

So much for the plan.

IE: Situation Normal. Remember, this is Vash... when has having no ammo ever
stopped him?

Rogue blinked in surprise, and {: the} pale young lady {huddled :}
slowly {stepping : stepped} out from behind the post.  She slowly and
unsurely walked up to Vash, as if this just couldn't be real.

Yeah... that was mucked in editing...

"the huddling young lady slowly stepped out from behind the post."

Vash smiled.  "I am but a simple traveler, a lover of peace who chases
the mayfly known as love, but you can call me 'Vash the Stampede'."



Rogue gawked in surprise.  "As in THE Vash the Stampede?!"

Is she going to run back into the town now?  :}b

Rogue: "Nah, Ah'd ratah take me chances with the walkin' force of
destruction, thank-ya-ver'-much!"

Thanks for the C&C man. This is actually a revision of an addventure
thread.... its been my baby for months, and unlike my other fics you don't
have to worry about this effort going dry. I have another good 20 chapters
worth of text to edit and its growing bigger almost every day.
