I'm surprised that no one would think of the one of the
other possible reasons for a global Youma rampage.
It does in a sense give a very wide target to unite the
humans against, but in order to be effective, the humans
would need a single leader or several leaders
co-ordinating, correct?
What if... Beryl and her 4 generals were no longer in the
Dark Kingdom/Negaverse/whatever, but had effective
infiltrated the human commmand chain... not too high up,
but high enough that a strike (or several 'random' ones)
on the leadership chain would result in them being given
command of humanity's defenses.
Subversion and all that.... works effectively when you're
not expecting it, and given how the only Youma being seen
are the 'Rampaging' monsters.
And once in command, they just need to insert new laws and
rules, fostering fear and panic in the native human
population with the occassional Youma strike on civilian
targets.
And -should- the Senshi/Scouts find out that the
DK/Negaverse apparantly operate out of the Arctic and
teleport there, they will find wild rampaging Youma (which
they'll proced to cut into) while the 'human' leaders get
sudden 'confirmation' of the enemy base in the Arctic.
Of course, they simply HAVE to do an immediate Nuclear
Strike on that area. Pity about the Senshi/Scouts being
caught in the blast zone. But one can't make omelets
without breaking a few eggs, can they?
I'm just raising a possibility here that I would see
really happening in the background of this world setting
and why Beryl and etc would do the overt force route if
they were portrayed in an intelligent manner.
