Don't forget, that many people would see this as the final coming... War
against evil.
We'd go to a 'war footing' almost immediatly. Think Septemer 11, Pearl
Harber x10. Screw any and all conventions.

Don't forget the civilians in most countries are armed. In Japan (aside
from the magical girls, super martial artists and giant robot-owning secret
organizations) the populace and the police are effectively unarmed. (You
can't own a knife longer than 30 cm. without a permit, police are rationed
on bullets).
In Iraq, a fair number of people have guns, that would be true across the
Middle East and Africa, in Europe there are cars and trucks a plenty, and
well-armed police forces and military. In the major U.S. cities the street
gangs have access to fully automatic weapons. In Switzerland, every adult
man is in the army and required to have a battle rifle in their house.
When youma start showing up, some people are going to carry their guns with
them. Let alone angry `soccer moms` with their SUVs 'You ruined little
Jenny's piano recital!' Roar. Splat!
If they fly slow the cry will be 'DUCK SEASON, no limit'.
In short, if the Youmas really hit the world in large numbers, the military
and civilian populations will start taking action immediately.
Think the 1992 North Hollywood bank robbery, 2 men with fully-automatic
weapons and Class 4 (rifle-resistant) armor. Civilians provided the police
with the weapons to take those two down. Several years later, someone tried
the same thing, a civilian with a .50 sniper rifle shot them dead.
Don't get me started on Texas. (See Austin College tower sniper for one
example).
