Interesting that her example would be from Ensign Shan's history.
I used it to show they are integrated.
As Shampoo exited the restroom, Park looked at her in bewilderment.
"What the hell was that supposed to mean?"
Which naturally puzzles anyone with no cross-dimensional experience.
Kodachi should spot it immediately. Ranma and Nabiki might too.
Assuming they didn't just think she's crazy to begin with. :)
"It'll take some time before Mikado's old enough to be of actual use to
us anyway. Years before this plan sees fruition, assuming Mikado
survives the gauntlet he's currently throwing himself into. But we can
afford to be patient."
So who's fourth in line for control of the family?
Someone inferior to Mikado and whom they have not had the opportunity to
sink their hooks into.
"Of course. But if she survives the fire she's been thrust into,
she'll be even stronger for it." That was the way of the world. Those
it didn't break, it made stronger. Shishio was a living testament to
that.
That probably lays to rest one way I was hoping for Mina Li to get layed
low. If she destroyed a property more valuable than herself, the other
property's owner might take action. It would have been interesting if
she'd hurt one of Shadowlaw's.
Only if it happened off the floor. Death and crippling is always a risk when
one invests in a fighter. Trying to inflict some form of retribution for
something that is an inherent part of the game would never be tolerated by
either the Director, government, or by anyone else that has a contract with
a fighter, the Arena fights are too valuable to all involved to have their
integrity compromised. The only reason Mina was 'punished' by the Director
was that she should have known better than to answer Park's unauthorized
challenge. If Park has called Mina out by name, he would have had to let
even that slide since it would have besmearched Mina's reputation to not
answer it.
"He is in rare form tonight," Running Deer said. "If it wasn't for the
fact I know he's a complete asshole, I'd almost find him amusing. I'd
like to know what it is that's made him so happy and Mina so pissed.
Maybe he's been doing her in the ass."
Even if she doesn't know who, Running Deer ought to know Tarou well
enough to know what.
She doesn't know everything. Park only recently let slip her sleeping with
Tarou, and that was in Mina's presense. RD didn't have time to know he's
been fooling around with someone else.
"What you mean to say is, the Director is pissed off that I whacked one
of his cash cows," Mina clarified, then took a step inward. She would
show no fear to these little toys, even if they were dangerous.
Of course he's pissed off. I still wonder who owned Park's contract.
It won't matter, since it was Park herself who issued the challenge, which
she shouldn't have done in the first place. It was a case of her 'asking for
it'.
