Nothing, at all, except that Mark deliberately and with full
knowledge chose to use the phrasing he did.  The author is
*always* the final authority.  Or would you like to take up
the challenge of going through "Finnegans Wake" and listing
its spelling and grammar errors by virtue of your obvious
superiority over the author in that regard?  <grin>
