Another point: in the anime, the other three generals
actually did have tasks even at the beginning (we later
found out). But in this story it's been four years,
rather than a few weeks. Why hasn't Usagi run into
Nephrite, looking for the seven rainbow crystals?
That was Zoicite and those specific tasks weren't assigned until after the
previous generals had bowed out. I always assumed that they were elsewhere
doing the same as Jaedite was doing in Japan. The Dark Kingdom was active in
England for a period by both Anime and Manga, so it's not inconveivalble
that they're elsewhere.
This confuses me a bit. My understanding, from the
nightmare scene towards the end, was that what happened
to the Tsukinos happened BEFORE, or AS, Luna awakened
Usagi. So the logical deduction for Usagi would be
that if she were targeted prior to awakening, the
others might be too, and SHOULD be awakened ASAP, so
that they can protect their families. Probably easy
enough to fix, one way or another.
That presupposes that Usagi is thinking about the incident clearly which
probably wouldn't be the case. She might beleive that her imminent awakening
as Sailor Moon was what triggered the attack. (Note, her belief as opposed
to what really happened)
Tux-chan's normal M.O. is to arrive just a bit earlier,
and throw off the youma's aim with a last-minute rose
throw, rather than moving Usagi out of the way. Might
want to consider rewriting this way, while still having
the youma escape. If this happens because Usagi has
been distracted herself by the rose, then her temper
tantrum is partially explained by the fact that she's
mad at herself for being so distracted.
Actually in the Live Action Ep 1, Tux saves her by crash tackling her out of
the way of the youma's attack and he goes through at least the first 2 eps
without throwing a single rose.
I read this that Usagi is NOT recognizing
the "gentleman thief" here, which I find quite
surprising. If your intention is that she does, but
doesn't care (because of her obsession with the youma),
suggest you make it clear that she does recognize him.
No rose, no connection. The rose is the gentlemen thief's signature and
without it Usagi might not make the connection.
Not sure how anyone managed to read subtext into that;
I certainly didn't. "Closeted", as any dictionary
will say, means "in a meeting" in this case.
The reference is in the phrase 'out of the closet' meaning openly
homosexual. To call someone a closeted gay or a closetes lesbian means that
they are homosexual but for what ever reason can't or won't admit to it. And
with the Outer Senshi including Uranus and Neptune and in the previous
content of the conversation, it has unfotunate implications that the author
has already stated that he didn't intend.
person I might ever want to marry, is you, Phoebe."
I thought that an odd choice for Mar's old name, given
its lunar associations. Especially with "Aphrodite"
for Minako, why not "Aries" (or a feminization
thereof: "Ariana")?
Phoebe would be a feminine form of Phobos, one of the moons of Mars and in
Greek legends, either one of the sons of Aries by Aphrodite or one of the
horses that drew Aries's chariot.
