bug.

entertainment purposes only.

The Poetry Bug - Leave, Then Come Back

Leave me alone.
Yes, I like her the best.
I don't have to tell her. 
She knows it by now.
The others, I'm sure,
Will give up, will move on.
If I don't make them cry,
They could still be my friends.

Why her? I don't know.
I just do. And I'm not
Some big expert on love,
All that mushy stuff.
I'm in training, you know.
Come and ask me again,
And I'll tell you, perhaps,
In a few years from now.

Leave this place? But what for?
I can handle it fine,
I'm quite used to them now,
All these weird things around.
It's a nice place to be.
I've got allies, and friends.
If the open road calls,
I can leave, 
then come back.

Leave her alone.
It's no business of yours,
if she's angry or sweet,
or a brave macho chick.
I can tease her, not you. 
She's just someone who lives
In the house where I stay,
And she welcomes me back.

Leaves blown about,
On the roofs, in the street.
The rain's falling down,
And I skip to the beat.
I'm not cold, as I run,
With the wind in my hair.
Bare feet on the fence,
Yellow leaves everywhere.
Sure, the curse is a pain,
But I will find a cure.
One fair day, I'll be free
from this form. I'll be pure.
Still my mother would say,
"Never mind cold or hot,
It's a matter of heart,
If you're manly or not."
And I am, in her eyes.
So now everything's fine.
There are things to be solved,
But we're young. We've
got time.

If I want to, I'll leave. 
I'll go train, then come back.
If there's trouble around,
I'll defend and attack.
Just don't ask me those things.
All that stuff 'bout a wife;
I can't handle that. But
I can trust her with 
my life.
