As others have pointed out, the FFML is a place where you get little C&C.
That's not a fault of anyone in specific, but rather a foregoing trend
that's been going on for a while (it's been that way since I stopped active
participation back in 2001).  Unless you have something that's very
controversial or of incredible quality, you won't hear much C&C.  Overall,
as has been mentioned previously, your best bet is to find a steady writing
circle.

Additionally, as Mike31, pointed out, we have a lot of lurkers here (I am
one myself; I only pay attention to view overall trends in fanfiction that I
can translate into my own works).  Some people just don't care to comment,
and that's acceptable, if regrettable.

Lastly, some people do not do public C&C.  I myself prefer to C&C in private
because that way you have a better chance of a one-on-one rapport with the
author and don't run into the risk of a third-party misinterpreting your
comments.  I've written public C&C before that has been misconstrued as mean
when it was never meant that way.  As a result, I don't do it as much
anymore.

If all you're going to do is complain, then I suspect you're in it less for
the C&C than for the kudos and "attaboys".  And while I'm not accusing, I
will say that if such is the case, then you're in fanfic writing for the
wrong reasons.

Now, please, let's take this back to private commentary before the admins
come down on people for what should have been private discussion to begin
with.
