Well, since I haven't said ANYTHING for a while, I'll
just add my little drop into the ocean.

Fanfiction is written for various reasons...

Pleasure. Because we like the series. Because we can
tell a good story out of it. Becauase we've got
nothing else to do at all. Because we need practice.
Because we enjoy reading other Fanfics and decided to
try ourselves. Because we like people to tell us how
cool we are writing what they feel they can not do by
themselves. Because we like people to tell us they
love our story thanks to our amazing way of keeping
the characters true to form. Because we like people to
tell us that Shinji Ikari with a backbone is more
respectable than the wreck he is in NGE, and to hell
with cannon. Because we feel in our hearts and souls
that Harry Potter MUST have a worthy Pokemon like
Lugia instead of an Owl. Because we just like to write
long paragraphs.

It's all valid. It's all worth it. Who are we, to say:

Speaking of things that need to be said...

Lurker, shut up.

PS: I'm done. ^_^

For example.

The FFML is home to as many lurkers as you can
imagine. Some of us post, some don't.

You want feedback on your stories. We all do. Sad
thing is, that as someone previously said, it is very
hard to get it.

Even if you're nice to the people that write to you,
they can't give you feedback everytime! And if they
can, well, it's great!

The main problem here, as has been proven, is that you
have to stick to what FFMLers read the most: Ranma
and... Ranma.

There are many, many worthy Ranma fics out there that
don't recieve any comment, but the authors just shrug
and continue doing the great work they've been doing,
happily reading fan mail whenever it gets to them.

If you're recieving less comments on your fic, take it
easy, give your story a twist; something that will
make the readers stop and stare.

Or, you could always pull an Oscar. That's a sure way
to get feedback, if not the type you want.

If your story is good, you can rest assured, that
people are enjoying it. You don't need all their
emails to know it, because you enjoyed writing it
yourself!

So, pull yourself up together man, carry on, and
remember that quality is not the same as quantity. So
treasure those few quality emails you will get.

Done.
