Thoughts: I for one want to see the kunoichi girls discover that
they've made bad assumptions about the Nerima characters and have
it
come back to bite them in their collective asses.

(( Absolutely. The Kuno family, just as one example, has got to
have at the
very least a sane business manager, and probably some fairly sane
members
elsewhere who would probably be known to the Yamadas. I mean,
they're that
rich, but how do they STAY that way if they're that nuts? ))

Actually, I was thinking more of the kunoichi girls' belief that
everyone there horribly abused Ranma without provocation. Not
helped, admittedly, by Ranma's unusual emotional behavior.

Grandma *says* she's sorry about her bad relationship with Nodoka,
but the editing of the videotape would seem to belie that.

(( This is called "digging yourself deeper", yes. ))

As pointed out, a timing mistake caused by Granny's vindictiveness.

Ranma is way too weepy for my tastes. Thought. Maybe Eiko is
interfering with his emotions to make him more pliable?

(( Yeah, it's not like this is the first time he's been stuck as a
girl. On
the other hand, he's also trying to live up to his new family's
expectations, and - thank to Genma - he thinks he has to be a manly
son for
them, just as he did for Nodoka, Or Else. Wearing women's underwear
is not
exactly high on his list of ways to prove himself. ))

I'm going with the "hormones" explanation right now, as even the
stress thing just don't cut it for me. And I think Ranma would be
more aware that this weepiness *isn't* normal for him.

So why *doesn't* Pluto know the Gates are sentient? They've had
3000+ years to make this apparent to her. And honestly, I think
Pluto would pick the Crystal Tokyo future because it required the
*least* number of innocent deaths.

(( Puu is in willful denial. Eiko probably HAS been screaming in
her ear
for the last thousand years, she's just ignoring it. ))

Umm, no. Either she *did* know the Gates were sentient and would
still know, or she *didn't*, and the Gates' AI is misleading Ranma.
Certainly, I do not believe that Eiko understands Pluto's motivations
one little bit.

Usagi spontaneously transforming in front of her mother, and Luna
blabbing like a madwoman were the best bits in the chapter. Keep
those, though the protocols stuff was a teensy overdone.

(( *chuckle* The Ginzuishou's AI is obviously not as
well-programmed as the
Gate's. I'd have a word with the code team if they weren't all ten
thousand
years dead. ))

I'm betting that all three artifacts' programs are severely glitched.
Eiko only seems more capable because it's developed a personality
specifically to get Ranma to trust it.

IMHO,
SKJAM!
