Before the admins close this topic, I have just a few comments to make.
I generally DON'T commend on the ML about things and I'm sure some of you
have only seen a post from me infrequently... Personaly, I think the ML
loosing either of these writers is a big mistake. I personally love some
of Don's work, and though I'm tired at the moment and my brain is only
half turned on (AKA Saotome Syndrome), I do also recall loving much of
DB's work. I strongly urge the admins reconsider the ban on Don.

While I've not posted to this list in like years and have many
    filters
set up so that my email box saves fanfics and deletes "C&C" replies (most
especially ones such as these), this topic slipped through my filters yet
caught my attention. There is a glaring error that needs correcting, and
unfortunately due to people jumping to rash conclusions and losing their
tempers over this misunderstanding, it has already resulted in the
permanent
loss of a valued author.

In Mr. Granberry's final post, he stated how he was in ire over Mr.
Sommer's blocking of his emails. This block was actually, in fact,
something
which Mr. Sommer had no control over. Let me refer to the bounce message
in
question, since Mr. Granberry so kindly provided it in his final post.

As follows:
---------
Subject: Mail delivery failed: returning message to sender

This message was created automatically by mail delivery software (Exim).

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its
recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:

  sommer@3rdm.net
SMTP error from remote mailer after end of data:
host mail.3rdm.net [12.169.112.90]: 554 Message rejected because of
content
---------

This is not a block which Mr. Sommer consciously instituted. This is
    a
block either by his ISP or by a sys-admin who has taken it upon himself
to
block any incoming email which may contain "offensive" words or content.
In
reading Mr. Granberry's message to Mr. Sommer, it does indeed contain
several words that would indeed trigger a bounce under such a system.
Suffice it to say, Mr. Granberry accused Mr. Sommer of something he had
no
control over. In fact, I can safely say that Mr. Sommer didn't even see
Mr.
Granberry's message when it was posted to the FFML, and is likely
wondering
what all the argument is even about. However, if Mr. Granberry were to
remove the explitives and resend the message privately, I do believe Mr.
Sommer will receive it.

Admins, I do realize that by now you'd prefer to see this topic die a
quick death, if you've not requested so already. I shall neither post nor
reply to further messages regarding this topic, and only saw it necessary
that this mistake need be corrected to all concerned.

Time for me to go update my filters.
