I ignored this the first time it was posted, as I had
never seen Hikaru no Go. Since then, however, I got
my hands on the first three episodes and rather enjoyed
it, so I decided to read this time. I'm rather glad I
did, in this case. The story was well written, flowed
well, and had few mistakes as far as grammar goes that
I noted. (One of the only things that struck me as off
was when the professional Go players were talking about
'the kami-sama', I think that should probably either just
be 'the kami' or 'kami-sama'.) The characterization
seemed to be quite close to what I noted in the anime as
well, giving leave for the development that happened in
the course of the rest of the series. All told, an
enjoyable read.
