Hi there,
Thanks for your comments. They are, as always, greatly appreciated. I'll
reply to them below:
Green leaves, shaken loose by the impact, drifted gently down toward the
earth below. Those unlucky enough to fall too near to Ranma {shriveled
: shrivelled} and
died, green turning to brown as they curled and crumbled, dissolving
into
tiny pieces in midair.
Nice description.
Thank you. :)
"I can ... I can show you where she is."
That at least got her past the immediate 37 seconds.
Indeed. Seraph Wing's very much concerned about keeping Ukyo alive, so
getting her past those 37 seconds was of utmost importance. Now, if only it
can figure out how to get her out of the current situation..
She wondered for a moment why she had thought to bathe the creature, but
could not quite put her finger upon it. Whatever it was, it was right.
The water seemed to be just the thing her new friend needed.
The difference in how Akane and Ryoga perceive what's happening is
profound. I would expect water to be her cure for nearly anything.
Akane is only semi-conscious, and is having her development accelerated by
the intravenous drip into her arm. Hammer and Anvil are anxious to get
Ryujin awakened as quickly as possible. She's gone all abstract because
she's not supposed to be developing as quickly as she is.
"Submarine ... there's a submarine," she said, trying to keep still as
Ranma's arm moved across her chest, holding her tightly. "The Leviathan
Spring. She was taken there."
There's no way that Ukyo can know that is true, which adds a nice touch
of irony.
I've always liked a little touch of irony. Hopefully there'll be a few
others before this tale is done.
-Our mission was to return Ranma to the Spring, yes?- Ukyo countered.
-This way, she'll come without a fight. There are facilities aboard the
Spring to deal with her, aren't there?-
I'm sure they wanted her locked down first.
Indeed they did. They don't really have the facilities to deal with an
uncaged, angry, armed dragon aboard the Spring.
"Hopefully not as long as the last," Hunter prodded, his jaw tightening.
The time constraints on this initiation were much more demanding than
Ukyo's.
At least they aren't starting with a decapitated corpse. She's not
even mostly dead.
"I got better!"
Regards,
R. E.
