First of all, my apologies for the late response on this one. Right now,
I'm dealing with a virus of the organic variety, namely the flu (or
something of the sort).

Now, we probably all know what's coming next: banned thread, take it to
private mail.

To those people who wrote to the -admins address, this was exactly the
right thing to do. To those who posted to the list at large, this was
exactly the wrong thing to do. While we do appreciate that a public post
on the subject is sometimes necessary, we would like to be the ones to
determine this and to make the post ourselves if one is warranted.

As for this file, yes, it is indeed a hoax, and we recommend that
everyone simply delete the post. We're still looking into the source of
the post. If it was sent to the list deliberately, the sender is going
to be facing a lengthy ban, but it's not clear at this point whether or
not that's the case or even whether the listed sender was the actual
source of the message.
