Why should they?  /They/ remember, isn't it reasonable for them to assume their counterparts do as well?  Especially since Rei responded to her old name and addressed Ikawa by his?

(Granted, we don't know why they remember when the Senshi don't, or even why they wound up reincarnated in the present at all.  Recall that Setsuna had thought they'd been killed or sealed away at the end of the Silver Millenium.)

Well, yes . . . I seem to recall that being a major plot point of the original version.

Or perhaps not; they'd still be after Setsuna, who /does/ remember.
