Ranma/Gunsmith Cats Crossover idea By Reddjango

Greetinsgs, this is my first attempt at fic writing. hope you like it. Hopefully it sounds as good to you as it did while I was proofreading. I'm hoping for some constructive criticism here. I don't mind if you don't like it, just tell me why and I'll take what you say into consideration.

The windy city of Chicago is a well known spot among tourists around the world, with such sights as the Sears tower and Wrigley field as it's backdrop, but like any other metropolitan city you can count on a significant amount of crime as well. Rally Vincent knows this all to well, for she has dealt with her fair share of hard-nosed criminals. A bounty hunter by trade, she is considered one of the best around. Alas even the best need a vacation at some point.

Along the dark streets of Chicago a light blue Shelby GT-500 streaked down the road well above the speed limit. The raw power of the engine personified by the bestial sound coming out of as it streaked down the road. Just then the purr of the engine lessened as the car started to slow down as it approached its final destination. It then proceeded to pull into the driveway and park into the garage.

Rally sighed as she stepped out of the car. It had been another relatively boring day at the office. Now One would think that owning a Gunshop would be a novel job but to her it was getting downright ridiculous.

Guns are a huge source of interest to Rally, hence her ownership of Gunsmith cats, but the other aspect of her life is bounty hunting. She revels at the idea of testing her guns on would be bailjumpers.

Lately though it seems that the entire criminal underworld in Chicago has decided to come clean, for bounties have been slim to none. The very thought of not capitalizing on some jackass trying to jump bail made Rally shudder. She dispelled the thought as improbable as she clicked off the light switch in the garage and headed into the house.

The house was empty tonight because of Mini-May and Ken Taki's extended vacation to Japan visiting relatives. Fortunately this gave Rally an opportunity to grab a breather from her explosive happy partner, but on the flip side all the bounties seemed to disappear along with her. Managing Gunsmith cats without her partner hasn't been much of the problem for her, but the lack of her more dangerous activities were taking their toll financially as well.

Rally sighed as she sat at the kitchen table looking at the pile of past due bills on her desk. "Damn, how the hell am I gonna pay for these" she thought as she put a hand on her forehead dejectedly. "Business has been slow in the Gun shop these days and the lack of bounties these days have not helped." The current financial crisis weighed heavily on Rally's mind, but options seemed thin at this point, it was either wait for business to speed back up or take up another job. She shuddered at thoughts of flipping burgers at the local Mc Donald's came to mind.

Rally yawned as she noticed it was getting pretty late and decided to find a solution to the problem in the morning. On the way to the bedroom she noticed the answering machine. Apparently she had missed the message in her haste, not wanting to leave a task undone she decided to play the message before bed.

The familiar welcome note played followed by a beep, Rally's eyes widened as the voice Japanese women speaking English played over the machine.

"Hello Rally my name is Nodoka Saotome. I don't know if you remember me but I am good friends with your family. I am aware of your success as a bounty hunter Mrs. Vincent and was hoping you'd help me. Naturally a hefty sum would be in order for your services. Hopefully we'll be in contact soon about the specifics. Thank you."

Rally smiled as the message ended. A solution to her money problems had just arrived.
