looking for what Phoenix (writer of Lines of Destiny)
and Fire (writer of Destiny's Child and others)
have done fiction wise recently

Nowhere near enough. :P

Excuse the world outside your inbox for having a life and other hobbies
besides writing.

wondering if anyone knows anything?
and Krista Perry keep up good work with Hearts of Ice!!

More like 'suddenly decide to continue' then 'keep up'... *mutter*

Again, excuse the rest of the world for having other things to do than to
keep people who *can't* find something better to do with themselves happy.

Apparently HoI is undergoing a rewrite now... which means there is some
actual progress... but still... Krista, if you're reading this, stop
wasting
time on the FFML and WRITE MORE! :P

I hope she takes another year off to read a pile of good books and watch
some anime just to spite you.

All the good authors disappear... Metroanime has stopped working on his
fics
and all but disappeared, though someone told me he's working on the Anime
Addventure (No, that isn't a typo.)... Skysaber caused all sorts of chaos
and apparently went off to sulk, or something, and isn't working on his
stuff anymore - work on it, hell, most of it's been taken off the net...
and
Skysaber is the main reason why I've taken to saving entire web sites to
my
hard drive, I hate it when good fics disappear... Carrot is writing stuff,
but is a far cry from the good old days where he pumped out one chapter
per
day, which absolutely ROCKED... OneShot has apparently decided to take a
month or two off or something, I wanna start an organisation which would
somehow get him blacklisted at all the game shops near where he lives so
that he can't buy any new games and has to go back to writing fanfiction
:P

Because God forbid people develop other hobbies and stop entertaining you,
leaving you in the untenable position of having to go find something else to
do.

And then there's all the ones I've forgotten, which outnumber the ones I
can
remember by probably several orders of magnitude...

I could make a comment here on what that says about your intelligence, but I
shan't, as I'm already likely to be tempbanned for this as is.

Fire's disappeared, I'd love him to do Destiny's Child 2... and there's
Hawk's 'Messed Up'... And what happened to Zen, anyway? Bitter End is
still
the best darkfic I've ever read, it's like Vandread Second Stage episode
3,
you can't watch/read either of them without a box of tissues...

And Bitter End is complete, so your bringing it up in this vein is
pointless. Granted, he has a work in progress which hasn't been updated in
years, but he ALSO has a very active offline life, so...

This is written in the likely vain hope that one of these authors has been
writing MASSIVE amounts of fanfiction in the last few years and will
suddenly decide to post it all after seeing this... Hey, I can dream...

You can also be a jerk, it seems.

Fanfic writers are not beholden unto you to produce at your beck and call.

We are hobbyists--people who write because we enjoy writing.

There come times when we simply don't enjoy it as much as we would enjoy
doing something else. When those times come, guess what? WE GO OFF AND ENJOY
DOING SOMETHING ELSE.

I myself happen to do far more reading than I do writing, and when I'm not
reading, I'm usually playing some video game or another. And often I'll stop
in the middle of doing something else, jot down a few paragraphs as a wild
idea hits me, then go back to what I was doing...and later, when I'm not
doing anything else and the mood hits, I turn back to writing and see what I
can accomplish.

And I'm one of the ones who has the "fortune" of being able to sit on his
ass all day doing whatever I please. Most of us who write fanfiction are
busy with college, work, family, social obligations--any number of things
which take precedence over sitting around writing fanfics so that ungrateful
little turds such as yourself will shut up and stop bitching for a few
hours. It's not your God-given right to demand fanfiction to read--it's a
gift, given freely by those who want to share a hobby with other like-minded
individuals.

Abuse a gift, and you'll sometimes find that the giver will take it back and
lock it in the closet, and you'll never see it again.
