My pet theory is that a good writer does not truly disappear. Instead, she
/ he pulls up stakes and changes locations, since it is easy to find a new
home on the Internet. When I joined this list after reading about it, I was
surprised to note that several of its members are people who, in my native
/BSSM/ fandom, have been thought gone for years ... Angus MacSpon, Jeff "One
Shot" Wong (good to finally see you, sir -- those who remember you at the
old stomping grounds remember /Usagi's Usual Morning/), John Biles, and The
Eternal Lost Lurker (I found a very old MST featuring T.E.L.L. as a
commentator), among others. Why they left, I do not know, but here they
are, as if time never passed. Talk about your surreal experiences. Then
again, when I had to contact several /Ranma 1/2/ authors for stories for a
failed project, I was surprised to see them, too, because I had thought them
all inactive. I am glad that I was mistaken.
