An Ah! My Goddess crossover fic.

The Lord of Nightmares, to Celestine's Apocalyptic designs. When one had
to
deal with problems of that magnitude, others tended to seem small and
unimportant by comparison.
**Couple of minor points- that should be "Lord of _Terror_" nor
_nightmares.
Right. Welch corrected me on that as well.
Also, if this story includes the events of the movie, Keiichi's already
more-or-less graduated and working pretty much full-time with Chihiro
Fujimi
over at Whirlwind Garage; So, this blip can be solved a couple of ways:
either just delete the Celestine references,
I'm opting for that. I'm only at the 'Childhood's End' TPB, so there's still
lots of A!MG story I don't know yet. It also begs the question of was
Celestine some sort of rogue program, or just another problem that was
supposed to draw K+B togther more. Besides, I have a post movie fic idea,
though I need to revise it (I resused a situation in the manga by accident.
It was close to a retelling, so I need to rework things.)
The man bowed slightly. "I'm sorry. Where are my manners? My name is
Neo,
and I've come to help you."
**Oh you bastard. You bastard. The scary thing is, they fit together
nicely.
Yep. Which is why I did the xover. Generally, if I do an xover, it's because
either the series ideas work, or there are similar elements. (Should Old
Acquaintance... being a good example). Well, that and there's a story to
tell.
was
gaping in open shock. "You... know? You know it's all a program?"
"Yeah. It was explained to me a while ago," Keiichi confirmed.
**LOL! That's perfect! That'd stop him dead in his tracks, alright.
Neo: "Whaddya mean, you _knew_! Geez, was I, like, the *only* person who
didn't?"
Heh. Yeah. that would throw him, which was part of the Architect's insidious
design. Let the humans know the truth and accept it (though he'd be giving
it a choclate coating to hide the true flavor)
The question caught Keiichi off-guard. "Free me? From Yggdrasil? Ah,
no."
**Yeah, to Keiichi's PoV, that'd be bad, leaving aside the whole Bell
issue,
that'd still be bad.
Yep.
<snip>
Good ending, and the fight between Bell and Neo was well-orchestrated, and
gripping. I *do* think the piece as a whole would be strengthened by
removing the final explanation by the Architect- it kinda lays everything
out a bit too pat. Leaving that out still gives you a bit of closure,
while
leaving the possibilities more nebulous, and making the Goddesses' motives
more ambivalent to the reader.
Since this is a one shot, I wanted to leave things pat (for a change), and
since this is a 'love conquors all' kind of thing, reassure the reader that
things are probably going to go pretty well. You can read Perfect Detail for
an AMG flavored, jaded look at love. But this was definitely the ending I
wanted to go for.
Still, it's a damn clever idea. Well done.
Thanks. I thought it would make sense as an xover. Glad to see it did and
that it worked.
