Sometimes the best-laid plans of mice and men...

Ichiro growled and slammed his fist to the table in righteous
disgust. "Damn you, computer!" he screamed to the four winds. He
felt the hot breath of failure against his cheeks, and flushed
with the indignity of one who had been fully own3d by his own
devices. "Damn you to hell!"
Again he slammed his fist, this time shaking the tiny sub-
notebook on the table. The screen flickered off, then on again,
and meekly the computer replied, "But master, you couldn't
possibly mean it. I have always tried to be a good and faithful
assistant."
Ichiro blinked twice, and his jaw went slack. "M-my
computer... is talking to me?!"
Before he fainted, Ichiro contemplated which of the two new
facts about his computer was more impressive: one, that it had
gained sentience and emotion enough to feel offended at his
cursing; or two, that it spoke with such a cute voice.

Okay, so... apparently that e-mail account I used was fritzing (no return address?! That's crazy talk!) So, I have moved to this address. If you have any comments for me, please direct them to this address: matt2518@planet-save.com

Thank you. Now, for a repost of the previous spamficlet:

Caravan frowned and turned her attention (as aggressive as she
knew it would be) to Kenji. She saw him, hunched over his bedroom
desk, scribbling furiously as a fan lazily blew air in his general
vicinity. He hadn't said a word in hours, and Caravan was
beginning to get bored.
     Caravan hated boredom.
She rolled over on the bed, her tee-shirt running up and
untucking from her shorts as she did so. The sudden coolness of
the moving air on the small of her back provided a welcome
diversion, and an ever-so-small spark of energy. She grinned, and
silently slid from the bed to the floor.

Kenji never noticed the shadowy form rising like a dark phoenix
behind him, nor could he have reacted in time had he detected it.
For as he wrote, furiously writing word after word, sentence after
sentence, filling pages of his journal, his mind wandered
tangentially, remembering tiny bits of his adventures. Meeting
Caravan, no... summoning her; that first evening under a starry
rural sky when he and Tanako... but no, that was too early to
tell; That moment of terror when he saw those he knew as his
friends and those he thought were his enemies transform; the two
worlds he traversed, and the time he had at once gained and lost;
the war that wasn't, but maybe it indeed had happened...
Kenji never noticed Caravan's inky silhouette, never heard
the whisper of cotton peeling itself from hot summer skin, never
conceived of such a strange, almost pornographic wrestling move.
Never, that is, until he felt the twin tips against his back, the
slow inhale, and the low growl rising from his assailant's throat:
     "Suckerfish Suplex!"

>From an author you'd probably want to strangle...
...comes a heroine you'll want to glomp with impunity.

The triumphant, and much belated return:
It's A Rainy Day, Sunshine Girl!

Coming In August, 2003 (I Swear To You)!
