Yes...
Many words...This may be offensive, but it's helpful to know how people
actually use the language. The definitions are direct from the source,
listed below. The source I'm using is a few years old, and naturally,
new slang exists today, but most of this is still in use.

I am using double letters to stand for long vowels, as I cannot type to
the list in Japanese.

The word "gei", a direct borrowing from English "Gay", is a relatively
recent arrival to Japan. Most modern and open-minded prefer this term.
A "gei boui" or "gei boui-san" is an effiminate young man, often in
drag, who works in a gay club, regardless of sexual preference.
The word "gei-chikku", a parody of " roman-chikku" (romatic), is an
adjective for, essentially, "faggoty".
In gay circles, boys who are definitely not gay, are called "nonke", a
contraction of "gei no kehai ga nai" - "no gay vibes".
A tough looking gay male who is in to BDSM is called a "haado-gei" (hard
gay) or "haado koa" (hardcore) - short for "haado koa gai" (hard core
gay).

The most widely used derogatory word for homosexual is "okama" - roughly
equivalent to "fag" or "faggot". (History lesson: The Harima, Ibaragi,
Yoyama, and Yamaguchi dialects added the honorific "o" to the word
"kama" (ricepot) and made it mean posterior. The Sanno, Outawara,
Hagagun, and Kamitogagun dialects saw "o+kama" as representative of the
vagina; the Shizuoka and the Kumamoto saw it as a synonym for "hole".
The Ashikaga went an entirely different direction and used "kama" to
mean "dark, hidden, secret".
"Okama-san" is a somewhat more polite way to say this - Mr. Faggot.
Again, it is more modern to use "gei".
Some homosexual males will refer to a effeminate one as "onee" (sister),
using "onee-san" as a cute and girlish form of address.
"Ukemi", literally "receiving body" is a term for a passive male
homosexual. "Neko" (cat) is another term for what an American might call
a "queen", and "neko yaru" (to do cat) means, depending on usage, either
gay sex or kinky sex.
"Tachiyaku", from Kabuki: "the fighter with sword ready" is a masculine
homosexual. A "netachi" is a gay man who acts tough but is really
passive.

Finally, "rezubian" (lesbian). This term is greatly preferred to the
outdated and cumbersome "douseiai no onna" (same-sex-love-woman).
While "rezubian" is the formal term, it's even more common to hear
"rezu", which, depending on the person, is either okay or derogatory.
It's comparable to "lez".
To have lesbian sex is the verbal "rezuru".
A derogatory word for lesbian is "onabe" (pan), a pun on the word
"okama" (pot) used for male homosexuals.

I think that's about it. Of course, you're always better off using
English while writing in English, it helps makes sure that your audience
understands what you're writing.

the subject that goes in to so much depth.

Douseiaiteki would be
homosexuality. As the kanji would indicate, the characters
would mean "same
gender love." If I were to guess at the English translations into
non-katakana Japanese, I would choose Douseiaijo (female) and
Douseiainen
(male) Given these are a mouthful for casual conversation,
however, I would
assume that there are slang terms out there, but what they
are I don't know.
Just thought I'd add my 2 cents in since I came across these terms in
materials for my Modern Japanese Lit. class. My humble
apologies to the
