--- The Eternal Lost Lurker

Sakaki looked forlornly at the screen of her PET,
where a small red warning
flashed that her Navi's hand data had been damaged.
She idly set the repair
routine in motion, and sighed.

"Come *on*", Chiyo begged, tugging on Sakaki's
bandaged
hand. "Everyone's worried about you!"
The rest of Sakaki did not budge from her meditative
position. "No. Please."
Chiyo nervously glanced around at the temple's
courtyard, where a number of athletic types were
sparring. She was pretty certain that the occasional
blasts of visible energy were an illusion, but judging
from their targets' reactions, they seemed to be
pretty
solidly-hitting illusions. Although she knew those
around her were in truth monks, they certainly did not
fit the classical monk image. "It's time to go!"
Sakaki's eyes snapped open and drilled straight into
Chiyo's with an intensity not unlike a volcano's
entire
output squeezed down into two human pupils. "When I
can pet the cat without being bitten, *then* it shall
be time for me to go."
